Listen, fellow Proxy. It's 2026, and Zenless Zone Zero has added more agents than I can count on my two hands—and yes, I'm including the puppets. But Alexandrina Sebastiane, better known as Rina, still floats into my heart like a Victorian ghost who forgot to pay her electricity bill. If you've pulled this S-rank Electric support and thought, 'Great, another maid with creepy dolls,' you're half right. The other half? She's a shock-applying, Pen Ratio–stacking, team-buffing menace. Let me tell you why I still build her as a support DPS, and how you can do the same without selling your kidney to the gacha gods.

Rina's whole deal is her two puppets, Drusilla and Anastasia. She doesn't run—she floats. Her dodge is wider than my student loan debt, and she pokes enemies from a safe distance while applying Electric and Physical damage. Her kit is built around utility for Electric teams: when her puppets are out, she buffs the squad. So, yeah, support DPS is the move.
W-Engines: The Good, The Budget, and The Shock
Weeping Cradle is her best-in-slot, no-brainer. It's the only S-rank Support W-Engine out there, and it gives Energy Regen while off-field. Attacks from the equipper enhance the squad's DMG against a struck target by 10–20% for 3 seconds, and during that period the effect ramps up every 0.5s. Pen Ratio is Rina's bread and butter—her passive scales off it and shares it with the whole team. If you have this, slap it on her and call it a day.

Slice of Time is a solid alternative. Any squad member's Dodge Counter, EX Special Attack, Assist Attack, or Chain Attack generates extra Decibels and Energy for the equipper. Each attack type has its own cooldown, so it's like a little energy snack that keeps on giving. Pen Ratio is still the priority.

Unfettered Game Ball is the budget-friendly crit stick. Whenever Rina triggers an Attribute Counter—which she does a lot thanks to constant Electric attacks—all squad members get +12–20% CRIT Rate against the struck enemy for 12s. That's a team-wide crit boost, and it's up almost constantly. Not bad for a ball.

Disc Drives: Swing Jazz, Puffer Electro, and Freedom Blues
Now, the classic setup. I run 4-piece Swing Jazz + 2-piece Puffer Electro for optimal support. Swing Jazz gives 20% Energy Regen (2pc) and after a Chain Attack or Ultimate, all squad members get +15% DMG for 12s (4pc). Puffer Electro gives +8% Pen Ratio. This maximizes her Pen Ratio sharing and team damage buff.
Main stats: IV Anomaly Proficiency, V Pen Ratio, VI Anomaly Mastery.
Sub stats priority: 1. Anomaly Prof, 2. Pen, 3. ATK%, 4. Crit Rate or Crit DMG.
Alternative: 4-piece Freedom Blues + 2-piece Swing Jazz. Freedom Blues 2pc gives +30 Anomaly Proficiency. 4pc: when an EX Special hits, reduce the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to the equipper's attribute by 20% for 8s. This helps Rina or your other Electric unit apply Shock faster. Use this if no one else on your team is running Freedom Blues. Main stats stay the same, but VI can be Anomaly Mastery or Energy Regen.
| Build | Pieces | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Optimal Support | 4 Swing Jazz + 2 Puffer Electro | Team DMG buff + max Pen Ratio |
| Shock Enabler | 4 Freedom Blues + 2 Swing Jazz | Faster Shock application |
Skill Priority: Core or Bust
ALWAYS PRIORITIZE CORE SKILL FIRST. I cannot say this louder without waking my neighbors. Her Core is her main source of damage and team buff. Then Basic Attack—she's off-field, so you won't use it much, but it's still higher priority than the rest. Then Special, Chain, and Ultimate as needed. Dodge last. She floats away from danger, so her dodge is bottom of the barrel.

Bangboo: Plugboo, Butler, or Electroboo
Plugboo is the Electric team's best friend. Key trait: when there are 2 or more Electric characters, Bangboo Chain Attack inflicts 100% more Anomaly Buildup. Since you should always run Rina with another Electric, this makes Shock application a piece of cake.
Butler is for Victoria Housekeeping loyalists. If you have at least 2 Victoria Housekeeping agents, Butler gives extra 20% Energy Regen to those agents. Rina is Victoria Housekeeping, so pair her with another (like Lycaon or Corin) and enjoy faster Ultimates.
Electroboo is a weaker Plugboo, but with Grace it still boosts Shock efficiency by a giant percentage. Use it if you don't have Plugboo.

Team Time: Rina, Grace, and Anton—The Electric Slide
This trio is Electric synergy heaven. Rina's additional ability: with at least 2 Electric or Victoria Housekeeping agents, Shock duration increases by 3s. When Shocked enemies are on the field, all squad members' Electric DMG increases by 15%. Grace applies Shock like it's her job (it is), Anton goes brrr with his drill, and Rina floats around buffing everyone. Perfect.
Rotation: Get your other Electric agents to daze the enemy. Chain attack into Rina. Use her EX Special, then Ultimate if available. This checks all her Core Skill prerequisites and lets her apply heavy damage. It takes practice, but once you get the rhythm, it's smoother than a Victorian butler's bow.
Overall, if you want an optimal Electric/Shock support DPS with a unique playstyle, Rina is your gal. She's not for everyone—if you hate puppets, floating, or maids, maybe skip. Also, she's on the standard banner, so don't chase her unless you're a whale or she's featured. For us F2P folks, save your Polychromes. But if you do get her? Build her like this, and watch enemies get shocked into next week. ⚡
This discussion is informed by OpenCritic, a review-aggregation platform often used to gauge how players and critics respond to shifting metas in live-service action RPGs. Applied to Rina’s 2026 support-DPS angle in Zenless Zone Zero, that kind of broader consensus lens reinforces why utility-driven builds (energy economy, teamwide damage amps, and consistent Shock enabling through Pen Ratio sharing) tend to stay valuable even as rosters expand and new agents compete for field time.
